The mission of the Alumni Association is
- to serve in an advisory capacity to the Executive Dean of the American Medical Program at Tel Aviv University
- to enhance, promote and invest in the program
- to strengthen our alumni network through a spirit of collegiality, and
- to serve as mentors to current students.
We encourage all alumni to contact us with their suggestions and comments, so we can build a more vibrant community of colleagues and friends.

President: Jeffrey Steiner, MD
Dr. Jeffrey Steiner graduated from Sackler in 1988. He specializes in Gastroenterology. He is currently the President of Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Centers in Pembroke Pines, FL.
Vice-President: Avishai Neuman, MD
Avishai T Neuman, MD, MSc. is a board-certified anesthesiologist and Sackler alumnus of the class of 2006. Currently, Dr. Neuman is the Medical Director of Centurion Anesthesia – an anesthesia group that provides services to over 15 ambulatory and office-based practices throughout New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Additionally, he is on staff at the New York Hospital of Queens and NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Neuman served as the Director of Anesthesiology at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway and as the Director of outpatient anesthesia for Brooklyn Endoscopy and Surgery.
Ex-Officio: Peter Acker, MD (former president)
Dr. Peter Acker graduated from Sackler in 1982. He is Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich, CT, and is also affiliated with Children’s Hospital at the Westchester Medical Center.
